Baptiste J. Dejean III, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Baptiste Dejean is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma, cataract, and LASIK/refractive surgery. Dr. Dejean attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Dallas. He completed his internship in internal medicine and residency in ophthalmology through The University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston, before going on to complete his fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston/Houston Eye Associates Connor Glaucoma Center for Glaucoma/Anterior Segment Surgery.
Dr. Dejean performs many laser vision surgeries including custom blade-free LASIK, laser cataract surgeries, many eyelid surgeries, and multiple glaucoma surgeries including laser and minimally-invasive iStent, Xen, and Hydrus. He is certified on the AMO VISX Excimer, IntraLase, and IFS Laser System, as well as the Alcon Allegretto and FS-200 Laser Systems. He is also trained on the LensX Cataract Laser System. Dr. Dejean is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and certified through the American Board of Ophthalmology. He performs surgery at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Conroe and Huntsville Memorial Hospital.
Baptiste was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and grew up along the Louisiana and Texas gulf coast. His hobbies include fishing, traveling, and astronomy.
Craig C. Kuglen Jr., M.D.
Craig Kuglen Jr. is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery and laser cataract surgery, as well as the treatment of various eye diseases. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston, where he had the distinction of being elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston.
Dr. Kuglen is certified through the American Board of Ophthalmology and trained on the LensX Cataract Laser System. In addition to his busy practice, Dr. Kuglen serves on the Board of Managers, as well as the Medical Executive Committee of Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Conroe, where he also performs surgery.
Craig was born in Galveston and grew up in the Harlingen/Rio Grande Valley area, where he practiced prior to moving to Conroe and joining Avery Eye Clinic. His hobbies include swimming, cycling, and spending time with his family.
Linda H. Lin, M.D.
Dr. Linda Lin is a board-certified ophthalmologist, cataract surgeon, and glaucoma specialist. Dr. Lin was accepted into the prestigious 7-year Honors Program in Medical Education, a combined BA/MD program, at Northwestern University, directly from high school. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Louisiana State University/Ochsner Program in New Orleans. Dr. Lin trained with world-renowned glaucoma expert, Dr. Gregory Skuta, for her glaucoma fellowship at Dean McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City.
Dr. Lin performs laser-assisted cataract surgery with premium lens implants (Toric, multifocal, and EDOF), minimally-invasive glaucoma surgeries (iStent inject W and Xen 45 gel stent), and traditional glaucoma surgeries (trabeculectomies and glaucoma drainage devices). She is trained on the LenSx Cataract Laser System + ORA. Dr. Lin is certified through the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Glaucoma Society. She performs surgery at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Conroe.
Dr. Lin grew up on the Texas Gulf Coast raised in Port Lavaca, TX, “Home of the Fighting Sandcrabs.” In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
Mark H. Wilkerson, M.D.
Mark H. Wilkerson, MD, a board-certified ophthalmologist, grew up in Conroe, Texas. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Texas A & M University and then graduated from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at Scott and White Hospital/Texas A & M College of Medicine before continuing his training with a glaucoma fellowship at Duke University Eye Center. Dr. Wilkerson then returned to Texas and has practiced in Montgomery County since 1990 with a focus on general ophthalmology and glaucoma. He joined Avery Eye Clinic in 2012. Outside of work he enjoys travel, outdoor activities and spending time with his wife and children.
Andrew W. Dvorak, M.D.
Dr. Dvorak is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract, LASIK/refractive surgery and medical treatment of the retina. Dr. Dvorak attended medical school at Chicago Medical School / Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He completed his internal medicine internship at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, and worked as a US Naval Flight Surgeon. He went on to complete his residency in ophthalmology at University of Florida.
Dr. Dvorak performs many laser vision surgeries including femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, micro-invasive iStent surgery, and bladeless LASIK. He is certified on the on the AMO VISX Excimer, IntraLase, and IFS Laser System, as well as the Alcon Allegretto and FS-200 Laser Systems, LensX Cataract Laser System + ORA, and specializes in Toric and multifocal lenses. Dr. Dvorak is certified through the American Board of Ophthalmology and performs surgery at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Conroe and Huntsville Memorial Hospital.
Andrew grew up in Illinois, “the Prairie State”. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, and outdoor hobbies such as cycling, skiing, and Wakeboarding.
Jonathan Jan, M.D.
Jonathan Jan, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist, cataract surgeon, and refractive surgeon. He was awarded his medical degree at Texas A&M University and completed his internship as well as a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Florida. He also completed his fellowship in Cataract, Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern. He is renowned for providing thorough medical care for the treatment of a host of conditions, which include, cataract, eye infections, corneal diseases and LASIK surgery. Warm and welcoming, Dr. Jan is an experienced ophthalmologist treating a wide spectrum of specialized needs. He is skilled at building close relationships with his patients.
Renee Williams, O.D., FAAO
Dr. Renee Williams is a board-certified optometrist specializing in full-scope optometry including contact lens fitting, management of ocular disease, and surgical care. Dr. Williams received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Oral Roberts University, and Doctor of Optometry degree from Oklahoma College of Optometry / Northeastern State University. Dr. Williams is glaucoma certified and completed an additional year of study as a resident at BVA Advanced Surgical Eyecare / TLC Laser Center where she trained in ocular disease management and post-surgical patient care.
Dr. Williams happily accepts patients, school-age through senior adults, for routine examination or surgical evaluation. Dr. Williams is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and is certified through the American Board of Optometry.
Renee was born in the small rural community of Hugoton, Kansas, where she grew up prior to moving to Oklahoma to pursue her education, and then on to Georgia where she practiced optometry for seven years prior to joining Avery Eye Clinic in July 2013. Renee greatest source of enjoyment is her children, and she spends her free time doing activities with her family.
Steven Black, O.D.
Steven Black, O.D. is a board-certified optometrist. He graduated with honors from the University of Houston – College of Optometry in 1981 and has been in practice serving the vision needs of patients in the Huntsville, Texas and the surrounding area for over 30 years. Dr. Black joined Avery Eye Clinic in 2019. Outside of work, Dr. Black enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
